5. Simple and Effortless

Style is about making a subtle statement but looking effortless while doing so. You could start by choosing pieces with a unique print. We love the interesting water colour print on this blouse. Although simple, the asymmetrical design gives it a certain effortless elegance. Pair with a pair of skinny jeans and wedges for a casual brunch date with friends – by keeping it simple with one or two key elements, you won’t run the risk of looking like you’re trying too hard!

6. Layer for the weather

When travelling, the unpredictable weather can mean extreme comfort with an extra scarf or layer!

This collection includes layer-friendly pieces like this vest. The collar folds out at the top showing off yet another interesting batik design on the inner layer.

The vest helps to give shapeless shirts and dresses a nice silhouette, and goes well with a scarf! Make sure you bring this one on your trips around Europe!

Here are some reasons why we fell in love with Fasu.

  • The owners are world explorers who venture through the world’s most isolated places to find unique pieces you can’t find anywhere else in the world. Owner, Chris and his wife, often go where ‘no man has gone before’ to look for really rare collections. According to this pair of “fashion explorers”, they only carry rare pieces you can’t really find in Singapore, or in any other part of the world.
  • Precise Workmanship, Hand-Drawn and Japanese-Designed. Designed by Japanese, the fabric patterns are 100{8f42e3536fa1e6f87f919a2e387db08d813e1f513d4d1296def18f34bd27beb4} hand-drawn and designed individually.
  • No Two Pieces are A-like. The Japanese designers start with a 7 meter long piece of cotton cloth which batik artists hand-draw their designs on. They do it “free-hand” and directly on the cloth without any prior tracing or guidelines.
  • High quality cotton fabric is used for extreme comfort. It’s also cooling, light-weight, and gets softer as it’s washed repeatedly. Perfect for our hot, humid weather!

“The sad thing is that many people do not know beautiful hand-drawn batik pieces like this exist!”

The owners hope that more people can appreciate the beautiful hand-drawn batik prints and Japanese workmanship in each and every piece.

So make sure you grab these one-of-a-kind pieces from Fasu at Northpoint for your next exotic adventure!
