Back to Basics with Fun at the Malls

Shoppers will experience a refreshing variety of family-friendly experiences that encourages learning and play across 12 Frasers Centrepoint Malls over March and April. Some examples of these experiences include role-play and interactive stage shows at The Centrepoint’s Fantastical World of Aesop’s Fables, action-packed health activities and games at YewTee Point and a series of fascinating animal performances, adoption drives and pet training programs at Causeway Point’s Pet Carnival.

It’s all about learning something new and rediscovering the meaning of play at Frasers Centrepoint Malls.

Enter the Fantastical World of Aesop’s Fables at The Centrepoint
The Centrepoint brought classic Aesop’s Fables to life on a giant storyboard adventure, comprised of larger-than-life characters from our favourite childhood stories. Shoppers journeyed through a world of fantasy, met intriguing animal characters and immersed in a colourful universe of meaningful stories, such as “The Hare and The Tortoise”, “The Dog and His Reflection” and “The Goose and The Golden Egg”.

Each section of the trail was an adventure in itself where children of all ages discovered the morals behind the fables through a rich variety of interactive mediums. From “The Enchanting Wall” that whispers enchanting tales, to craft workshops, interactive storytelling, stage shows and the Wild! Photo Booth, each provided a unique form of edutainment.

The Reading Corner was a great space for children to borrow and read their favourite stories.

The key highlight of the “Aesop’s World” experience were the interactive storytelling sessions which invited the audience to be part of the performances through role-play. Families also got to kick their feet up to watch award-winning storyteller, Roger Jerkins, weave an enchanted web of stories based on the classics.

Besides free colouring and origami lessons at the Timeless Tales Colouring/Origami Station throughout the day, the young ones posed with props such as animal masks and headbands in the “Lion and The Mouse” photo booth.

As part of The Centrepoint’s school holiday fun campaign, clay-making workshops hosted by the mall’s retailer, Clay Cove, also provided fun options for children to express their creativity through art.
